Water Front E-BIKE Adventure Ride

NOTE: You don't need to ride your bike to the starting location. You can drive to and park at the church. Unload, ride, and return.

Ride Details

eptember E-Bike and Bicycle Adventure 

Doors open at 8:30 am for free coffee, donuts, water, and bathrooms available. Ride starts at 9:10 am. Total distance 15 plus miles and about 2 hours.

This Bike route begins at Connection Church 910 Ne Minnehaha Street across from Les Schwab. The first leg is approximately 4 miles to Clark College. We cross HWY 99 in Hazel Dell and turn left on to Ne Hazel Dell Avenue. We follow that to the bottom of the hill and cross the street to enter Burnt Bridge Trail which winds through Leverich Park to Ne 15th Avenue.

We cross 15th and take Ne 41st Circle that turns into Ne 18th Ct. 18th Ct. has the entrance back onto Burnt Bridge Trail to St. Johns Road. We turn right onto St. Johns to Fort Vancouver Way and up the hill to Clark College where we'll break for hydration at the umbrella tables. Entering the college at the top of the hill they are on the right within 75 yards of Fort Vancouver Way.

After a short break we head back onto Fort Vancouver Way south crossing East Mill Plain Blvd. into Fort Vancouver. We'll follow it to the new parking areas and take the Vancouver Land Bridge trail past the historic site, over HWY 14, the crossing SE Columbia Way to enter the Waterfront Renaissance Trail heading east.

That is a large side walk for pedestians and bikers . It will take us along Columbia Way past the million dollar condos, the Cove Resaurant, an we will exit at Wintler Community Park. This is our second and last hydration, rest point. There are public bathrooms here, a great view of the river, and a good place to take a breath.

We'll exit Wintler park on SE Beach Dr. This takes us across the RR tracks and up to Se Shorewood Dr. We ride Shorewood to the entrance of the Shorewood East Condominium complex on the left and travel through their parking lot to Evergreen Blvd. This helps bypass a long distance of roadway that has a very small space to biking on the side. We'll ride Evergreen and exit onto N. Blandford Dr taking it to the top of the hill to MacArthur Blvd.

We turn left and head north on MacArthur and cross E Mill Plain Blvd striaight across onto Odgen Avenue.  Follow Ogden to Idaho Street and turn right. This will intercect with N. Devine Rd. We turn left and it is safer to stay on the left side newly widened side walk going down the hill.

Stay on the sidewalk and it turns into Burnt Bridge Trail agian heading west. This will take us across E 18th st. to Meadow Homes Park. We go through the park and cross E 4th Plain Blvd. Burnt Bridge then takes us back to St. Johns. We cross and stay on the trail following the original route back through Leverich Park. The only change will occur when you reach the "T" on the trail adjacent I 5 HWY, turn right and follow the trail north back to HWY 99. Jump on HWY 99 to the top of the hill, turn right on Minnehaha, and Connection Church is on the right a block down across from Les Schwab.  We will open the church bathrooms and have more water for those who need it.

LOCATION: RIDE BEGINS AND ENDS AT 910 NE MINNEHAHA STREET, SUITES 6&7, AT CONNECTION CHURCH. PARKING IS ON BOTH THE EAST AND WEST SIDES OF THE BUILDING. DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM LES SCHWAB ON MINNEHAHA IN HAZEL DELL.
